The ephemery of the transactional process is the focus of this piece. From flattened 1-ply cardboard bags sold by the ton from overseas and transported by freight to American Chinese Food Restaurants.

Though each bag starts it’s journey in the same place, the sculptural transformation each takes on as a vessel for unhealthy consumption is frozen in time as a beautiful exoskeleton of comfort.

Each bag is hand resin-coated and original to their serial number. Materials are industrial food grade bags, two part epoxy, 1” mild square tubing, poured concrete and lamp wire. Produced in limited edition.
